Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 RC2
Ready for the market, Microsoft has already sent the ready versions so that it can be reproduced, so that on the official date both Windows 7 as well as Windows Server 2008 RC2 are officially marketed.
Windows Server 2008 RC2 comes with the same Windows 7 kernel.
Although Microsoft had the previous version as a version not well accepted by business departments, still maintaining the old Windows XP and Windows Server 2003; but being well accepted by people; there was a big drop in performance of this version of windows for netbooks, where Microsoft was not expecting it to be the sales “phenomenon”.
Toshiba sold several notebooks with Linux and Windows XP, because it said Windows Vista would be heavy for its machine, but when Microsoft provided Windows 7 for testing, the air of respect and consideration by Toshiba towards Microsoft, seems to have returned .
Windows 7 ran flawlessly on its netbooks, and Toshiba may be interested in launching its next versions of netbooks with Windows 7 installed at the factory.
Microsoft will release several corporate versions of Windows Server 2008 RC2; for those who have up to 6 machines, 7, 16 or even 23 machines; per license (RTM).
Each license will have its validation serial differently from others; making piracy more difficult; benefiting from lower prices by purchasing integrated packages with multiple licenses.
