KB3055642 failed to install with error 0x80070005

If you are using Windows Server 2012 R2 and you encounter a failure in the security update for KB3055642, with error code 0x80070005, it can be resolved in any of these steps:

- Check if you are accessing as an administrator and / or with administrative rights that allow you to install the update.

- If you have McAfee enabled, temporarily disable it as it has a false positive and blocks its installation. It is not yet known why the anti-virus blocks this update.

- Download the update directly from the Microsoft website at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=47088 and install manually. It will come out of the pending Windows Update panel.
