See the main differences between DuckDuckGo and Google
We are currently in a scenario on the Internet where everything we research, and do, is always in some way tracked, and this data is often used without the consent of users, who are pursued with targeted advertisements. But despite Google tracking you in every way, there are alternative sites on the Internet that aim to work in a similar way, and / or even better than Google search, taking into account that there is no manipulation of the search market, nor tracking. Today we are going to know DuckDuckGo, a new site that promotes searches just as we are used to Google, but guaranteeing privacy, without saving search history for its users.
DuckDuckGo
The DuckDuckGo website, accessible through the address duckduckgo.com, promises to perform searches guaranteeing the privacy of users, and has full support in Portuguese, and indexes numerous sites, guaranteeing a good alternative for searching content on the internet.

The term "Brumadinho" is very current today, due to the incident related to the company Vale, and we see relevant information and news on the homepage:
"Brumadinho" search term.
Now, the search for images was something very interesting to notice:
A detail perceived in the search for the images, is that it shows only images of the city of Brumadinho, instead of Google, which brought images referring to what probably several people are looking for now.
Search for images on Google, bringing relevant images, perhaps from other users.
Search for the term "Brumadinho dam accident" in Duck Duck Go.
The search providing more details, in a way brought the results according to what was sought.
The search for images offers a direct link to the image, unlike Google, which recently removed it by forcing the user to click on the "Visit" button, directing to the image's website, instead of the image directly.
Direct link to image of the search result.
Searching for videos also leaves something to be desired, bringing results from Youtube.
Is it time to start looking for alternatives, aiming at privacy, and avoid advertisements that follow you through the searched contents day after day?
The project is still small, but already has 55 employees, and offices in several places in the world, and for the moment, they live on donations to keep the project active.
Unlike Google, the DuckDuckGo site, (still) does not have authentication, nor other integrated applications such as email, calendar, "YouTube", etc., but we believe that it may appear as the site grows.
